Flag Request December 17, 2005 9:22 AM Subscribe
Why not place the [!] flag on the front page instead of having to open a thread? The Dish TV post is so bad on so many levels that I felt all icky opening it to flag it. heheh
What's so icky about it? If you really hate TV that much, the easy thing to do is to ignore it. I'm pretty sure there is no flag that says: I personally dislike this post for no real reason.

Why not just stop reading Metafilter?

If I didn't read Metafilter what would I do all day?

The [!] thing though is a good idea I think.

Can someone write me a script to stop me booting up my laptop?

How about hiding the [!] flag and just judging the posts on their worth alone?
Or maybe a greasemonkey script that displays only three random posts on each day and you have to read them and take a test?

Why not limit people to posting one MetaTalk thread a year? MeTa is so full of pointless threads I feel icky opening it. If people could only post once a year they might think twice before posting whatever popped into their head. heheh

Or how about a Meta daily limit of 3 threads total?

Is this something you'd need a computer to understand? Look at me everyone, I'm above all this intarwebs nonsense. I do nothing all day but knit greasemonkey scripts for homeless children, cause I roll like that. Does that make me a better person? Actually, yes, it does. We can shut down MetaFilter now - I won.
