Projects functionality: update please March 23, 2006 4:31 PM   Subscribe

Projects - any plans for recording in the user profle what you have voted on, tagging, or a decent search function? For the first time I'm trying to remember something I enjoyed and voted on, but can't find the tools with which to find it.

The archive is approaching useless since it only gives the link titles without any context and I can't remember the name of what I'm looking for.

For what it's worth (and without using an AskMe question) it's the band that has the song "No More Room," refrain: "No more room in hell boy, no more room in hell." A kind of 1920's vaudeville sound or something with accordions, double bass and a tuba.

I tried google, yahoo, and the archive and I can't find it easily (ie - without clicking every ambiguous title in the projects archive.) Even the tag or category "music" would help greatly here. Apologies if I've missed something.

This? I found it via google advanced search, using site" projects.metafilter.com, using the search word 'band'. They have a song called No More Room.

I agree with you - we need better search.

Ah but you didn't vote on it. Hmmm.

Haha, I meant to vote on it. I probably got sidetracked going to the site and downloading the songs and listening. That's them though, thanks.

My original points still stand, especially the uselessness of the archive. There should be at least a title and brief description, if not tagging/categories...if possible.

I could add tagging, I could track voting on user pages. I've been meaning to add voting to the user contacts page, to show the votes your contacts have made in the past x days.

I'll do a revamp of projects once I finish a db migration, finish the faq (all built, has some questions and answers in it, but not enough), and get the favorites system in place.

Oooh, that would be cool.

That would be great matt. It's not easy to go back and find something at the moment.
