actually, dios, I think we do need to specifically spell out when comments are deleted, because otherwise, our less intelligent brethren will be paralyzed with confusion without an explicit indicator saying so.

Sorry about that, the comments alleging that it was a self-link were flagged by the person who posted them and there were no other comments in the thread at the time that I removed them which was well before sluglicker posted. I added a note to the thread in case people were confused.

Now that other meta threads are taking up the Friday slack, I honestly do think a [comment deleted] thing would be a nice improvement. It would clarify threads where editing has occured, and it would draw attention to career threadcrappers. Win-win and all that.
