Anonymous category in AskMe? September 11, 2006 3:04 PM   Subscribe

PonyFilter: could we make "anonymous" a category at the top of the "Posts by category in the past month:" list in the sidebar on AskMe? The results, of course, would be questions from anonymous.

Dunno about other people, but I often find those the most interesting questions to browse.

Both interesting suggestions that have nothing to do with what I'm asking for, and both of them require me to do things in the browser client rather than using the site's innate navigation.

I like the click-to-see-this-category thing. It's convenient. Given that we already have, in a roundabout way via the userpage, a way to see questions asked by anonymous, I was suggesting making it more direct.

It's not in the site's innate navigation because "posted by anonymous" is not a category. Seems confusing to me if I tacked on a link to all anon questions next to the actual category names.

Stop with the helpful suggestions already. You bastards.

a username is not a category, even though we could put it on the sidebar and make it look like a category, it is not a category. there are already ways to solve your problem.

Yes, but they require a prescription.

sings along bum bum bums during the chorus.

god I love that gif.

That gif needs a metafilter sticker photoshopped on that pony and ceiling cat poking out in the background. THEN it would be perfect.

And maybe a small elephant pissing in the corner.

Can we have a "hot busty girl riding a pony" category? Because I promise I'd spend a lot of time there.

where is that image from?

It's from a movie called "Career Opportunities."

Here's a YouTube link to the pony ride...

I'd like to think that, in another ten or twenty years, there will be a new bit of jargon in cinematography: "gif ready". You frame your shot static and get something compelling and cyclic in the frame, firm in the knowledge that somewhere, someone will make a looping animated gif out of it and post it on the Internet.

Ha!

I like how my musical antics have made it so that those words are seen as lyrics and not as what they were intended to be: lousy internet haiku. Suckas!

Seriously. Will you fucking asshats stop with the lame, played-out, been-posted-everywhere-around-the-internet-including-six-goddamn-times-here-today-already inline images? Even if they do involve gurls and boobz huh huh uhhuh?

Please?

Fuck.

stavrosthewonderchicken writes "Will you fucking asshats stop with the lame, played-out, been-posted-everywhere-around-the-internet-including-six-goddamn-times-here-today-already inline images?"

Whoa, the MetaFilter colored "Best Of The Web" version of the Jennifer Connelly pony riding gif has been posted everywhere around the internet?
