pool for stumped questions October 2, 2006 6:47 PM   Subscribe

I got skunked! Since questions sometime slip off the front page within hours, how about a feature in which skunked questions are pooled somewhere until they get an answer? The skunkpool. Would that not be awesome?

I added a stumped tag to it. Maybe we can do that somehow automagically for questions that go off the main page with zero answers, or that have zero answers after 24 hours or something. Then people can read the stumped feed (population: 16 currently) and see if they can help out.

Haha. Nobody listens to you, either.

If nobody has answered this question, that would have been awesome.

I actually hesitated a moment before posting this with exactly that fear giving me pause.

Jessamyn, that's a good idea, though it appears some people use the "stumped" tag without actually having been stumped. The bastards.

a note to future question-askers:

do not end your query with the sentence "I don't want to risk the new caulk job failing."

No longer skunked. Deskunked.

Caulk, sucker. Did you use enough?

Well, just because a question has answers posted to it doesn't mean it has been answered. A question with zero replies is no more valuable than a question that remains unanswered.

I caulked the shit out of that tub today and it looks awesome.

It's good to keep handy a collection of varied caulking materials -- a bucket of caulks, if you will.

Mmm, delicious caulk.

I don't pop my caulk for every guy I see

The problem I have is those tiny little slits that need filling. I poke, I prod, I try to find the right angle, but I just can't fit the caulk in.

Well, it would be full of thousands of question, which would stick around forever.

I hardly post on ask anymore, way to much volume.

You need an older tub. Those 2 and 3 year old ones aren't meant to be caulked.

Schlimmbesserung, use your hand to guide the caulk. Most everyone does.

I'm sure if I sit here long enough, I'll think of a witty gag involving Macaulay Caulkin and a hot tub.

Go choke on a bucket of caulking.

Next time add that a long distance relationship hangs in the balance and you would also appreciate songs about caulking for a mix tape to Win Her Back!!!

This idea stinks!

*can't believe no one made that joke yet*
