Can we get a thread tracker? January 4, 2002 4:02 AM Subscribe
Often, it is complained that threads scroll off of the page too quickly, etc. Perhaps some sort of thread-tracking like that suggested here could help.
where "it is complained"="complaints are made" and "implicate"="implement" it's very late. thanks, sen

At least recurring threads such as this - e.g. the compulsory e-mail debate; the MetaChat suggestion - should be permanently revived.
I still think, though, that the helpful MeTa categories aren't being used enough. For those who can't remember earlier days, before the chronological ordering of MeTa, all it means is clicking on the categories you're interested in and you'll be transported to the wide, wild 70mm world of full MetaTalk!
That said I think a "my threads" feature on the FP menu could actually be useful(if a very expensive and easily abusable luxury); "my" meaning threads I'm interested in; not necessarily those I've commented on; much less initiated.
Or, since there's no "my comments" on MeTa, perhaps here would be a good place to try it.
Perhaps, that is!

er. actually, about that -- I was curious why there's no "archive" link for MetaTalk (unless you click on categories, and then select one). I actually like the chrono order quite a bit, as interesting Metas might be posted in categories I wouldn't normally think of checking. Putting in the archive button would save me a click, and i could spend that time thinking up new dirty words, like "financing".

You are not logged in, either login or create an account to post comments
In addition, I would like a method of tracking my favorite ponies.
