Dallas sucks! Remember how much fun we had at the anniversary meetup in July, and we were all "We're besties now, let's do this every weekend, forever!!!" and everyone else was all "YEAH!" Then.... nothing. Austin has met-up three or four times since then. Even Houston has planned a couple. Dallas? Verily, we sucketh. Therefore, it is time. [more inside]

So a cool guy told me that a dreamy gal was coming to Dallas on Friday to have some drinks. Seeing as how I never turn down drinks with these two, I will be there too. We were thinking about the Meridian Room and Friday (the 12th) on a time in the evening to be determined. I was tasked with advertising the event to invite whomever is up for it. So, anyone around Dallas interested in having a drinks, let us know your availability so we can adjust and plan accordingly. TIA.

World's smallest, most exclusive MeFi Meetup Evar: ufez, romakimmy's perennially lurking sister, romakimmy and a CareBears Checker Set were in Dallas these past two weeks. Despite a massive amount of obligatory family time, we did manage to do some shoutouts. Auguri y'all.

I've been nudged enough - by more than a few interested parties - to point out that it just may be time for another Dallas MeFi meetup. Granted, we've an awful lot to live up to this time around, but how many of us metroplexuals are in and when and where? (and yes, Eris, you brought this on - and maybe, just maybe, we can trump the record in my apartment of six people crashing at my place)

Is Meetup working or falling short of people's expectations? I'm honestly trying to attend for once, but I feel a bit out of the loop. 212 people signed up for tomorrow's gathering. Ten in my hometown of Dallas. Only 3 of us have RSVP'd. Is there gonna be no party or am I missing the boat? Ufez Jones suggests we meet somewhere else, maybe. I just don't wanna get left out.
