favorites from username best answer tick image broken?

Bug Report: favorites from username (example, look for the comment on "September 10, 2011") uses old(? non-sprite anyways) best answer tick image which goes to http://​images.metafilter.com/​mefi/​icons/​tick.png and currently returns a 500 internal server error.

right_banner.gif isn't loading for me

There's a little image (right_banner.gif) at thet top right corner of every page that's not loading for me. It's not broken, it's just not loading. I don't know if I've ever even noticed it before. Is it showing up for anyone else?

Java and images on the front page slow Mark down
