Hey, how about a tiny little list of bulleted "Associated Sites" at the bottom of the page? [more inside]

These two pages have pagination at the bottom. These three pages do not. Can we have the same ability to navigate into the past of "favorited by others" as we do for "favorites from," or would that be a huge pain in the ass?

So, the j and k keys can be used to jump between posts or comments, which is neat, except I already have those keys bound to scroll down and scroll up in my browser. Would it be possible to let users customize or disable nav keys, or do I just need to User JS it?

PonyFilter: Keyboard navigation for comments, similar to what's demonstrated here, except the pagination hack wouldn't be necessary (unless you wanted it to go to the next thread instead of the next page). 'j' would go one comment down the page and 'k' would go one comment up the page. It'd be a real nice addition!

I very much want to post the collection of comic valentines found here to the blue, but I'm worried the site navigation is so convoluted that the thread will be nothing but complaints about it. Can this post be saved?

the next page link at the bottom of the saved as favorites by other members page just keeps displaying the same 30 comments.

Does the Best Posts for August 2006 page still deserve a link in the navigation atop every blue page?

When you're looking through ask.metafilter posts using tags, the "« Older questions" link always appears on the bottom of the page -- even when you're on the page with the oldest questions. Click it, and you'll get a new URL with all the same old questions.

Navigational links that go back/forward one day on the "1, 2, 3, 4, 5 years ago." pages would be fun!
And maybe add a 6 years ago link to the sidebar?

Want to see something cool? Hit the . key on any mefi front page or comment page. Hit the , key to go up a post/comment. And don't worry, once you click into a textarea or input, it turns itself off (we couldn't ever lose the . could we?). Thanks to the hard work of delfuego for making this happen.

Nitpicky: projects.metafilter's page-switching navigation runs the opposite direction from the other three sites'.

A simple, parallel solution would be to simply have older and newer, with older pointing left, and newer pointing right for all.

Is there a way to jump from one comment (anchor) to the next using my keyboard? I like a feature in Bloglines where you can simply press "j" to go to the next article in a feed ("k" goes to the previous article). It would be nice if we had a navigation system similar to this going from comment to comment for MeFi/AskMe/MeTa threads.

In preferences, my font preference is set to Times New Roman. With the new headers in MeFi and MeTa I see the site nav links in a sans serif typeface, as I'd expect, but in AskMe the site nav links appear to be in Times New Roman. Somewhere there's an inconsistency. I'm guessing AskMe is incorrectly using my font preference for its site nav links in the header.

It'd be... nice... if the Preferences nav line was not bolded and the Home nav line was bolded. Also, no access keys?

So, uh, when you check through your old Ask.Me threads that you've posted in, and use the numbers at the bottom to skip pages (or the "Next" link)? It totally doesn't work (perhaps the offset variable is broken?). Firefox and IE. Just FYI.

When I try to view the askme archives by category, I can only view the most recent page of questions in that category. Is this just me being mentally challenged?

New Feature: you can page through MetaTalk with the links at the bottom of the page, and the new comment counts should continue to function in older pages. Much simpler and easier than digging through archives and if this works as expected for most everyone, it will also be applied at Ask MeFi and MeFi

Hey, why is there no link to askmetafilter on 'the blue' as you metatalk hipsters call the main page? You have to click metatalk and then click askme. FIX IT

Have you considered a 'Back to Top' feature? Would be useful for those long threads where one needs to re-examine the original post....

Given that MeTa is mostly used for private discussions about what goes on in MeFi, should there be links to it on the front page of MeFi for all to see? Would it be more appropriate for it to be discreetly linked from somewhere else or, to take it to the extreme, only available to logged-in users?
Airing dirty linen in public is not usually considered the "done thing" and hiding it from public scrutiny may allow more open and honest discussions.

Using IE5.0, navigating 'back' or 'forward' to homepage results in being directed to the 'Third Birthday' page. Crazy frustrating. Am I the only one?

I would just LOVE it if the "Older"/"Newer" links were up at the top of the page as well (in a fixed location). That way I could easily to the next thread without having to scroll down or go Back...
