Live preview for posting to MeFi and MeTa? August 28, 2005 6:27 AM   Subscribe

How's about getting Live Preview for posting new FPPs on MeFi and MeTa? I think it would be even more useful there than it is for comments.

Oh yeah, and AskMe too (although the implementation there would seem a little less straightforward, because of the More Inside field)?

I disagree. I think Live Preview has made the site worse (more spelling mistakes and typos) and don't want to see those on the front page.

The benefit of Live Preview is fewer calls to the server. The volume of comments is much higher than the volume of posts, so there's less (practically no) benefit for posts in terms of saved bandwidth and server utilization. And, as dobbs rightly states, there's plenty of downside to live preview.

What willnot said, less the "more errors" thing.

Remove the live preview and make it two previews instead of one.
