Too many embedded MP3's spoil the post October 7, 2005 4:49 AM   Subscribe

Posting one embedded MP3 might be funny. Posting two is being a jerk. Posting three is... well... something to bring up on MeTa.

Actually, the last one is standard PCM wave.

Someone needs to end this bgsound nightmare.

You want a holiday that badly, P_G?
The worst bit was leeching other people's bandwidth and leaving the most banal comments of your entire life. Play the clown, not the synth.

The best bit was the bit with the flea.

Clearly a jealous Firefox user there.

In all seriousness, I ask, is that really you, P_G? You've been a productive and sociable MeFite for a long time. Is some prankster using your password?

Ban the halfwit dipshit, with great vengeance. Long overdue.

Who are we talking about, now?

I commented out the bgsound links. P_G were you lonely without a MeTa callout this week yet?

On nights alone on the moor with knife and torch, I have seen terrible things; I have seen into the very eye of man, into the bitter core of human solitude. My haggard fingernails scrape the bloodstained keyboard to make revenge upon the world that gave me birth. I can no longer weep. The hatred of a thousand embedded easy-listening mp3s falls upon all mankind, and my wizened features force a pained grin... transforming to a scowl, and then, a resigned grimace. My bloodied throat, caked with the debris of silent generations (who could spawn this creature, and why?) forms words that no-one shall hear: "The... flea..."; and then all is still.

see? that's so much better. has the nasty headache gone?

Ah, got it now. Sorry for being slower than I might be on the uptake.

Can we agree on a ban and Pronunciation of Anathema for Pretty_Generic, then, or is it too late?

That would be best for everyone concerned, I think, and would add five delicious dollars to the buy-matt's-spawn-something-amusing fund.

My tolerance for P_G is high.
He's like a sweet-faced but palpably evil step-cousin who drinks strawberry beer but straight from the tap; who listens to all your favourite tunes but too loud and too late into the night.

I'll wager the veritable deluge of one-link-posts made him do it.

I'm not sure what this post is supposed to mean. Possibly "no harm done".

The long-term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by scientists, whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable than my own meandering experience.

Did he get a timeout for the dead wife thing?
Did he get a timeout for raped wife thing?
Will he get a timeout for the impotent DJ thing?

What, P_G being annoying? That's never happened before.

Well, at least it's better than the goatsee P_G stuck in this recent thread.

All three comments removed, bgsound tag removed as well. P_G, take a week off, my man!
