I don't see that there is any history of collaborative FPPs. Is there any precedence for this? Yes or no, how should one let it known that the post was a collaboration?
iirc there have been instances in the past where someone posted something for someone else, and yeah basically what panoptican said, just give whatever credit is due upfront in the 1st post

In my "They're coming to take me away, ha-haaa!" post I gave matteo credit for translation duties, but that's as collaborative as my posts have gotten.

Every FPP is a collaboration between the people who write it, the people who read it, and the people who flag it and move on.

There have been a few in the past, either via #mefi's naughtiness or via one friend helping the other beef up a thread with more links.

The Death Valley Wildflowers post, featuring content from metatalk, is one collaborative precedent. Letting it be known directly in the post seems like a nice thing to do.

A complex and unnecessary pony would sign collaborative posts with both usernames.

It would be cool if we had a wiki that let multiple colaborate on FPP, before posting it.
It would also be cool if I had $300,000 in the bank. Any more then that, and I'd just be a rich asshole, and definetly not cool.

Low-tech mefibank solution to CZ's thought:
$5 -> User 29872, y2karl and Count Ziggurat.
In fact, I'm surprised this sort of thing hasn't been done for more nefarious snarky purposes already. Somebody register username Rothko and dios, sitting in a tree already.
