My AIM neighbor has an anonymous question pending with AskMe. November 21, 2005 7:06 PM   Subscribe

My AIM neighbor has an anonymous question pending with AskMe. How long does that take? If it gets kicked out for some reason, is questioner notified? He/she has asked me to ask this for the sake of his/her anonymity.

No, it's not normal for the rash to last that long.

They come out whenever Matt has the time to flush them out of the pot. I think sometimes there really is a big pause between, because all of sudden they'll be 4 or 5 at once.

I'm lazy about approving them. I wait until a bunch pile up and then let them go. I just let a bunch through, hopefully your neighbor was in that pile. There were a couple I didn't approve that seemed silly to be using ask mefi anonymously.

If you've waited a couple weeks and the alien baby has already poked its head outside of your chest to take a look-see, call a doctor.

Matt, you lazy effer! Kidding. Actually, thank you for the front page format! It rocks.

Ha! You weren't kidding about the pile up. Thanks! And thanks from my friend.

Matt: maybe you should recruit a few more members for light moderation duties, like aproving anon questions.

There must be some other users with jessamyn like objectivity and skin-thickness...

hey I'm sensitive about my thick skin! actually as I've said before I don't see the anon questions in the queue, it's a Matt-only job.

If I Had An Anus: "(What is an AIM neighbor?)"

Clearly, it's the user with the next or previous name, alphabetically. So we know that one of the anon posts today came from "snsrancg" or "snsranci".

You know, Jess, Aveda makes a really nice lotion for that.

I think approving anon questions is better left to a single voice. We don't get that many, and there'd be constant rounds of MetaTalking when borderline cases get denied.

If it's so urgent you can't wait either visit your doctor/laywer or suck it up and post using your ID
