AskMe Preferences Not Working November 23, 2005 4:10 AM Subscribe
No matter what I do in my preferences, the font on AskMefi seems to be stuck (on Times New Roman, I think). My settings work fine on Mefi/Meta, so I guess it must be something to do with the new layout.
I've got the same issue

I have the same issue, I think, but in reverse. I changed my font size preferences, not the actual fonts displayed, but the change only went into effect for Ask and Metatalk, not The Blue. I've refreshed numerous times.

Same thing is happening to me both at home and at work. Home = Firefox/Mac OS X; work = Firefox/Windows XP. Cache-clearing doesn't help in this instance.

Ditto what smich said, except with Firefox/Win2k at work and Firefox/Win2k-and-Linux at home. This has persisted across multiple cache-clearings and at least one restart.
Interestingly, when I try IE/Win2k (on my work computer), I have no such problem.

It looks like the ask.metafilter style has been changed from font-family : "verdana", sans-serif;
to font-family:"verdana", which produces that change.

I was having this problem too, but then I remembered that my browser was set to delete new cookies on exit and so I kept losing the cookie that set the font size (but the other MeFi cookies were protected).
