Not meaning to sound snide, but I thought the point of the post was that she didn't want a follow-up?

Uh, I think the point of the post was that she wanted to know how to keep her identity out of an upcoming tell-all book.

I guess I'm not clear why an anonymous poster seeking privacy would want to lose her anonymity or "tell-all" by following up here on what happened afterwards.

It was obviously quonsar.

Yeah, on that White Castle one, he even said "This will be documented once a date is set both in in writing on the web (help me come up with a website name, please) and on video. I'll be sure to notify all here."

I think this should be highly entertaining, and am (still...) looking forward to it.

She wanted to know how to keep her identity out of an upcoming tell-all book, but I feel an upcoming tell-all Metafilter post might be acceptable to her.

I get anonymous' not following up on posts. But when people volunteer that they will follow-up in thread and then fail to it is pretty disappointing. The White Castle one or this one. For example.

Well, that was one of the reasons I asked if it was possible for an update, i.e. there was some way for the poster to update the Filter, if so desired, while retaining anonymity.

Yeah, I'm still waiting to see this floor, but what can you do?

I met horseblind, the vegetarian entering the White Castle-eating contest at the Saint Louis meetup. The contest has not happened yet, but it will. He said the most likely date for it is Memorial Day weekend. I'm hoping to be there and he certainly got enough encouragment and interest from those of us under the Arch that I'm sure he'll follow up.
