My first double post. To err is human, to forgive divine?

I'm not entirely clear on the need for the self-call-out, geoff.. Everybody does it once in a while; hell, mathowie has been known to accidentally double-post. It'll be flagged, it'll be deleted, life and MeFi will go on. Sorry, kiddo, you're no unique snowflake.

(And you've been here since '01. You'd think you'd know this.)

Thanks in advance. Usual penance? 5 Hail Marys, 2 Our Fathers and an hour at Common Dreams?

Right, I'm not calling myself out. I'm drawing it to Matt's attention that there's a double post he needs to delete.

I flagged your post as a double, and now I've flagged this thread as noise.

Send him an email, geoff. old boy, or flag your post, or both. The double is a bit of a faux pas, but it ain't urgent. See the above snowflake comment—would you want every double post to be called out in Meta? No harm, no foul, just not necessary.

Grab an orange vest, pick up a pole, and clear all the litter just outside the infobahn.

oh, hell, i've done it, too ... just chalk it up to experience and vow to do better next time

Matt made the flagging system so people wouldn't have to make posts like this.

Yeah, or, y'know, he has an e-mail address too.

You want forgiveness for bringing extra attention to Ann Coulter...twice?

Flag it as a double. Comments matt & jessamyn have made in the past have lead me to believe that if the poster flags something, they're more inclined to remove it quickly. I could be wrong, but that's the impression I'm under.

Either way, this is what flagging is for.

Hell, I think I've made more doubleposts than original ones.

I usually just flog myself with whatever's handy. But I do that anyway, so I guess it's not really punishment.

we've all done it--no biggie. It gets funny, tho, when it's a triple/quad or better (a la vibrating brooms, or when the first post about something is written very obliquely)

Oddly enough, I think the original post of this got MeTa'd and flagged, too. The vicious circle.

Ooh, yes, please. More opportunity for people to post interesting GIFs.

Please, let's have some of those now, OK?

All the new gifs I have are nsfw. well except this one.
