Portland Meetup pre-meetup? Tonight scottandrew is playing Mississippi pizza from 6pm-8pm. I'll be there. cortex? frykitty? You guys down?

Why do I never pay attention to these things? Why do I always find out the day *of*? (Answer: probably because I don't visit MeTa as often as I should.) When and where is the meetup? My wife and I have plans, but maybe I can wiggle out of them. I'd love to meet cortex, and to see Matt and Cat again...

I'm just repeating what folks said in the other thread. It seemed like a weird time to me too especially considering that the R&R doesn't serve food between 4-5 as near as i can tell. Maybe we should move it to five?

If the last few meetups are any indication, some of us will be drinking until the bars close on the 28th, so people can certainly show up later if they want.

Too bad there isn't more advance notice. A lot of people in Boston are just two hours south of Portland. I'd go to my childhood home for a meetup.

(Portland, Oregon is not "Dallas" or "Chicago". It's fucking Oregon, which is known primarily for meth and increasing drive time between San Fransisco and Seattle. People in the northeast US think of Maine's merely decent city first instead of your merely decent city. People in other countries don't think of either. Just humor me please and put "OR" after it.)

Nevermind, figured it out. Two whole buses. Logically laid out as a intercity metro connecting route should be. Astounding. I think I'm going to like this town.

Though I was hoping for my first ride on the MAX, but it's looking like it'll be too much work to connect to or something.
