Can I get an RSS feed of my own AskMe questions? November 23, 2006 12:16 AM   Subscribe

It's a pony, but one a lot of people would want to ride, I hope.

I'd love to see an RSS feed of the comments of AskMe questions I post (and for that matter, blue and grey too, though separately), so that I can keep an eye on the responses to me over time.

Have you checked out the MetaRSS Greasemonkey script?

(Obviously, you'll need Firefox, and also the Greasemonkey extension.)

More on MetaRSS:

1) You don't need to use Greasemonkey or even FireFox. You can use the "Add URL" bookmarklet from this page.

2) It works with AskMe, MeFi, MeTa, and Projects. I will add Music support in the near future.

3) So very few people use this that I find it difficult to justify spending any time on it. Those who use it appear to use it with regularity so I do try to make sure it works, though no one complains when it hasn't in the past.

Umm, how does it work? Does one need to install something or bookmark the url or what?

For those of us not using RSS, can the "My Posts" page Activity Threshold be extended to the lifespan of an AskMe question? 6 months, right?

If not, you could use something like co.mments to keep an eye on your threads without having to use RSS. I don't think there's a time limit on that. Or use sequential's RSS facility but have the results emailed to you using something like FeedBlitz.
