I'm trying to track down a post about a poster.
About a year ago or so, there was a post on the blue about a poster highlighting all of the mistakes and scandals of the Bush Adminstration. If I recall correctly, the poster was created by a bunch of graphic designers, and the outcome was quite striking: black and white with a list of words like "Katrina" and "Abu Ghraib." I've tried searching the archives but can't find it anywhere. If anyone remembers the poster I'm referring to and can find the link to the post, that would be splendid. Thanks!

Neat. Missed that post the first time around.
However:
Whatever that shitty font is on those posters makes my skin crawl. The Ns and Qs are particularly horrible. It also bothers me that each line is scaled not according to its relative importance, but rather to its length.
Excellent idea, but an altogether half-assed execution by Mr Award-Winning Ad Wizard.

"Snark" is actually a contraction of "snide" and "remark."
Is there evidence for that etymology, or is that a folk etymology?

Nah, that gives a nice variety the pieces. The lack of a bit of white space is disorienting at times, but it lends to the overall message: the absolute blizzard of messed up things about the Bush administration.

I actually asked about these a few weeks ago in AskMe.

Found it by searching Google first for "bush poster design mistake" which led me to a HuffingtonPost article, which got me the name of the designer, which I then searched Metafilter for. This didn't get me the post though, just a comment by erib, which actually linked to the post.
