Please help me find a specific FFP July 7, 2009 6:06 PM   Subscribe

I'm looking for a particular FPP. It was within the last three months, and it was about how to be skeptical of science/things you read on the internet. It was really good, but I didn't have time to read it all then (and I was drunk), and I just now am regretting that I never finished it. I've tried searching, but things like "skeptical" and "science" return a lot of results. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Probably not the one you're looking for, but there was the Howard Rheingold crap detection FPP.

this one is close to fitting what you describe - but it was more about accurately defining open-mindedness (and supporting the scientific method) than being skeptical of science.

The Baloney Detection Kit? It's a bit short, but fits the bill. You might also be thinking of the much longer Crackpot Index linked to in the comments.

There's this post about crackpots, which probably isn't the one but is a similar flavor.

You're making this up, aren't you? Go on. Pull my other leg, it has bells on.

I actually know far more about this subject than I think you can imagine.

Thanks everyone! I think there's a chance my mind was conflating all of those linked posts into one (again, I was drunk).

This post needs the 'drunk' tag.
