Post Delays? March 9, 2002 1:31 PM   Subscribe

A sensor which would prevent two posts within an interval of, say, 30 seconds or 60. This would unintentional double posts such as mine in the tactical nuke thread of a few minutes ago. (I tend to push elevator buttons more than once also)

That's actually a pretty good idea.

"The link below was posted by someone else within the last 60 seconds. If this wouldn't make your submission a double post, click submit to continue."

tomorama, you sound like you're agreeing with something ParisParamus didn't suggest. ParisParamus wants to prevent one person from posting the same comment twice (as often happens). You want to prevent double FPPs by separate people. Or do I misunderstand the "someone else" part of your comment?

Both ideas look good to me.

Why don't we put ED-209 in charge of checking for double posts?

"This is a double post. Remove it. You have 10 seconds to comply....9...8...7..."
