Quit popping things up on me! June 3, 2012 10:28 AM   Subscribe

Bug (or feature?): The "mark question resolved" button on the "confirm resolved" page on Ask Me pops a new tab, where it probably should use the same tab, as you don't need the question anymore. (Also, on the MetaTalk preview, it says use the back button to tweak the form, when you don't need to, as the form lives down below. Which is where I'm typing this in. Alright I'll shut up and stop causing pb more work.)

This is probably a small bug when you have your links set to open in new windows. pb can probably fix this in the next hour or so.

It doesn't pop a new tab for me. It probably has to do with how you have your browser set up.

Chocolate Pickle, do you have "Open links in new windows? :" set to checked or unchecked in your profile?

Oh, and it was browser independent, as I did it in both IE and Chrome.

Thanks for the heads up. This should be set.

Because after all, what is Sunday for if not providing a comfortable environment in which to decide that one's questions have been resolved?

I had mine checked, which I think was the issue.

oh no, that's way too much pressure. Just seeing the words business and responsibility so close together makes me nervous.

MetaFilter isn't a business, it's a community. And fixing things like this isn't a responsibility, but an honor. Or chore. Or something.
