Mr Haughey amusingly discusses MetaFilter November 15, 2012 5:17 PM   Subscribe

An interesting and entertaining interview of MetaFilter user #1 by Colin Marshall. It's a free podcast, an hour in length.

That was neat! The interviewer was great - it's always nice to hear one who actually knows the topic and has thought about it enough to ask coherent, interesting questions.

Sometimes I think they're just drunk on, you know, drinks.

I would love to get a graph of the "mobile hockey stick" measuring exponential growth in mobile pageviews on MetaFilter. Does such a PowerPoint slide exist out there???

Living in Japan at the moment, I find this post pretty funny.

"Hey, it's the this thread guy!"

One of my all-time favorite posts!
This is going to be good.

That was great. I especially liked the bit at the end about the guy riding a unicycle dressed as darthvader santa playing bagpipes, but then I am drunk on drinks.

I listened to this on the bus on the way to my evil, evil bio exam. This was much better.

Does it address the fact that the real Matt Haughey retired years ago and is living like a king in Patagonia?

I thought he was working at a pizza place in Toronto.

Do I sound more or less clever if I say yes? (Or more or less old?)

I'm feeling watched right now.

On the AskMeFi element of this interview.

Am I the only one permanently nervous when going on to that section, of seeing a submission about relationships e.g. "He really doesn't get me but he thinks he does" that I slowly realise with increasing horror, on reading down and into the "DTMFA" territory of the comments, is from my girlfriend?

Where is this "nerf world" he speaks of? Does it cost $5?

I still have no idea what this comment has to do with the question.

Let me just say that in Misters Marshall and Haughey we have two men with the most delightful laughs.

The wordy parts of the interview were quite interesting as well.
