Titles are back, despite title font size being set to zero February 1, 2013 10:17 AM   Subscribe

I just noticed that setting the title font-size to zero in my user preferences no longer prevents titles from being displayed with posts.

I don't find most titles on Mefi post to be especially helpful, so in preferences, I set the title font size to zero. This worked nicely for getting rid of titles on Metafilter, until today. Now, for some reason, the titles are back, despite my setting choice. Would it be possible to make it so that setting the title font-size to zero would continue to prevent titles from being displayed?

This has not changed on our end; preferences are managed by cookies on individual browsers, so you may need to go in and manually save your Preference again from whatever browser/machine you're currently using to get it to take.

I have titles set to zero and it's working fine for me in FirexFox 18.0.1. My guess was also that you were looking on a different device than the one you originally set your titles to zero on. I like that MeFi works like that because I can customize the look for each device.

Here's some more info on how display preferences work.

We have other open threads related to titles and this problem has been solved. I'm going to close this up.
