Though they are almost certainly better for you, I have noticed that elizardbits don't soothe your t-zone with as much smokey, honeyed warmth as plain old regular lizardbits.

Heh. I made a MeTa sorta like this one, wondering about jonmc a while back, when he signed off Mefi. But I got a note from a mod saying that kind of post isn't really encouraged. OK, I answered back, fair enough. But I guess they're kosher sometimes! Whatever, it's all good, as they say. At any rate, I was delighted to notice, just yesterday, that good ol' jonmc has rejoined us. Yay!

Last night in the shower I had this great idea to get her address from like Greg Nog or someone and get a cake delivered with a message like "We Miss You Love From Mrs. Pterodactyl and All of Metafilter" but then I woke up this morning and it seemed a little creepy/privacy invading. That said, what is privacy compared to surprise cake?

Usually I sort of roll my eyes at these sorts of inquiries, either because it feels like it should be the user's business if they want to disappear without fanfare, or else because the fanfare that arises seems a little strokey and indulgent ... but elizardbits, damnit! People like that deserve all the strokey indulgence we can muster.

Yeah I'm going to close this up. It's fine wondering about elizardbits and we're all hoping she's fine and back after whatever she's up to but an open Meta thread inquiring about someone who has chosen to disengage is probably not the best way to let someone do that.
