AskMe about mixed up text messages May 15, 2013 10:56 AM   Subscribe

I could have sworn that there was an AskMe not too long ago about sending one text message but having a different one come up on your recipient's phone. Of course, I can't find it. Am I thinking of something I read somewhere else, or does this question exist?

So yes, not only does that question exist, but compare the title of the AskMe to the title of your MeTa.

There was also this one, wherein the title could be read to imply that Prospero may be messing with their cell phone signal.

That's it, heyho! I looked under the "text" tag, I don't know how I missed it. Much thanks.

Wow that first one is pretty awesome. I'd love to see some screenshots of that.

That question made me super uncomfortable because as a programmer I can't think of a more nightmarish problem to have to debug.

Yeah, exact same thing happened to my husband and I today (hence the search for this question).

Hey that was my question! I do have screenshots of it but feel kinda weird about posting them. Is there any good that could come of it (like helping an uncomfortable programmer!), or is this just a thing that happens on a freakishly rare occasion? It hasn't happened to me or my husband since that day.
