He borrowed Thor's hammer, that helps cut a lot of corners.

Using a hammer to cut corners? #1 is a man of many skills.

I build the posts in TextMate, which auto-fetches every link and makes the title of the page the title text of a link.

My first podcast mention! Pumpkin! I hope you guys also watched elizardbit's link on that askme.

It would be worthy of a best answer, if it wasn't the wrong answer to my particular question.

I just realized cortex has the perfect voice for a quiet storm radio show.

The MetaFilter podcasts are good and interesting, and always entertaining and enjoyable. To add a bit of extra spice (no pun intended) and make them a bit edgier for both the listener and the participants, perhaps consider this FPP?

That pumpkin link really should have been an FPP pumpkin.

I just realized cortex has the perfect voice for a quiet storm radio show.

Maybe the right voice but doubtful the right disposition. I think it'd fuck with the flow of the evening of slow jams a little to have me make a joke about butts and then wheeze obnoxious, self-satisfied laughter at +3db for a minute and a half.

Woo! My second podcast mention. I missed my first, so am going to be twice as enthusiastic.

perhaps consider this FPP?

No. We have many things we aim for in the podcast but "edgy" is not one of them.

Podcasts! Now with 75% less swears! We shit you not!

In the interests of setting expectations: we tried swear-free podcasts and they were a bit too labor intensive and required too much language contortion for us. The podcasts will have swearing in them.

ohmygodohmygodohmygodohmygod you guys ohmygod -- One of my FPPs got mentioned on the podcast!

Jessamyn liked it! squeeee! And Math Owie himself gave my post a favorite! *swoon*

Had you lived thorugh the fuckin' 60s, man, then fuck, you would fuckin' perhaps have a fuckin' unit of fuckin' measurement in fuckin' comparison, I mean, fuck... it was so fuckin' hard to not have a 'fuck' insertion every fuckin' second or third fuckin' word until, like, you know,' like' like replaced' fuck' , which like happened over fuckin' night in like the fuckin' late 80s -- up until which we were all like fuck no! no fuckin' way that will ever fuckin' happen, no fuckin' way... So, like fuckin' point like taken.

I think I know which one is cortex now. And if I am right, well he's gonna have to keep the cold or whatever it is he has, so I can keep on tellin'.

I think we maybe talked about it before we hit record, but I had tried to basically breath a quarter of a plum into my lungs earlier that morning and the ensuing coughing fit left me halfway to hoarse for the rest of the day.

I'd just like to say that mathowie totally favorited the Time Is A Dimension post the day I made it so I call SHENANIGANS on his supposed ignorance.

Can I be banned now?

Now I want to see a TV procedural about a troubled, unorthodox vice cop, and his hard-nosed by-the-book sergeant. One's on the night shift, one's on the day shift, they're always at odds, but they'll team up to get the job done.

And they're the same person.
