Bug in Mozilla 1.0 June 28, 2002 6:57 AM   Subscribe

When I try to post a comment in Mozilla 1.0, the Preview screen shows "Comment Preview:" without the text box/buttons. This is only true in MeFi, not MeTa.

I'm using Mozilla on Windows NT. The problem may have only appeared yesterday or the day before... not sure whether I've tried to post comments from Mozilla before that.

As a point of reference, I'm using Mozilla 1.0 on NT 4 and don't have this problem.

Marquis,
are you using Win98 or ME by any chance? I'm noticing some disparities on Mozilla 1.0 between different versions of Windows. (mainly NT/2000/XP and 98/ME)

are you sure that you have logged into MeTa? (you have to login seperately from MeFi you know)

speaking of Mozilla 1.0, it also doesn't seem to want to display the shortcut buttons for adding html tags for comments. anyone know if this is a Mozilla thing or a metafilter thing?

Marquis, this has happened to me on and off in multiple browsers. It comes and goes randomly, with no apparent changes on my end. It's happened in NS 4.7x and K-Meleon 0.x (based on Mozilla). It's been mentioned before, but it never really gets much attention, most likely because it's so random and infrequent.

boltman, the shortcut buttons are IE-only.
