Babies are utterly divine and I'm very nostalgic and jealous of all the happy, poopy, teary, sleepless newness and wonderfulness you're now experiencing. Kiss her, smell her, cuddle her.... it does not get any better than this.

When was the first thread announcing a Metafilter baby? Also, does a Metafilter baby mean any baby born to a Mefite or do the parents have to meet on Metafilter and make a baby together?

Lovely squishy other-people's-babies are the best things. It's funny how much I enjoy them, and how little I miss mine being that age, although he was truly adorable. I was just too tired to enjoy it.

Thanks, everybody. We came home last night with a biliblanket due to some jaundice, but hopefully she ill be off it tomorrow and we can walk from room to room with her without feeling like she has a glowing electric dinosaur tail.
