Metafilter NFL Pick'Em

Back like Brian Hoyer and just in time for Thursday's Seattle/Green Bay extravaganza, it's Mefi NFL Pick'Em!

Join here. The group is named 'Metafilter,' the group ID is #23520 and the password is in my userinfo (click on the 'box' in 'posted by box,' right below this post).

We're picking against the spread, no tiebreakers, dropping the lowest two weeks, continuing through the Super Bowl.

I, uh, tried to join, but it gives me three different error messages all at once. Does the password have a space in it?

Also, I can't promise I'll stay faithful. It's usually Tuesday or Wednesday here before I can finally watch the Bears game, which means utter and total media blackout for me until after the game* so I tend to miss weeks. Then again, I loath soccer, but won my World Cup pool, so I'm ready to conquer Pick'em, too.

*at which point I'll be ludicrously happy because they'll be undefeated this year, and Manning, Brady, and Rodgers will all retire, saying, as a group, "There's just no way we could ever hope to put together such a masterful season as Jay Cutler just did. There's just no way to compete with greatness like that. Bill Belicheck will leave the Pats to become an unpaid intern, just hoping some of Trestman's genius will rub off on him in those fleeting moments he's allowed into the Presence to deliver the coffee.

I tried to join and failed with a wrong password. Decided "userinfo" was probably not the actual password and went back and read more carefully. I am all joined up now!

I just wanted to thank you for not using tie breakers which, as someone who generally isn't very near the top anyway, I find particularly annoying for some reason.

well, damn. The good news, the file was up and I was able to watch the bears game at lunch time. The bad news, I guess they haven't figured out that stopping the run is kind of important. It's going to be a long damn season.
