Greasemonkey script that filters by favorites December 2, 2015 8:49 AM   Subscribe

The Windows 10 upgrade blew away my greasemonkey collection and I am struggling to find the script that showed metafilter threads with comments filtered by 5 or more comments. It had a tab interface at the top of the comments with something like "5 or more" and "show all comments". Anybody have a working link/copy of this script? I miss it dearly.

Not exactly what you're looking for, but I use this similar bookmarklet.

Here, but it only works with the modern theme.

I'm hoping someone has the same one I was asking about - I'm resistant to changing to the modern theme but I'll keep that one handy in case nobody recognizes the older one.

Ooh but it's so nice here! It changes between desktop and mobile views like maaaagic!

I use this one
Creates a “thread highlight” view with all comments sorted by number of favorites. Omits comments with fewer than two favorites.

srboisvert, is it Plutor's Thread Highlights script? I just tried it out in Firefox with the Classic theme and it worked with the tab styling.

If you have secure browsing enabled in your preferences, the script won't work until you allow it to run over https. I added these lines in the script header:
// @include https://metafilter.com/*
// @include https://*.metafilter.com/*

and for a quick fix so that the browser doesn't show a warning about unsecure/mixed content, search the script for
http://styles.metafilter.com
and edit it to
https://styles.metafilter.com

(No doubt there's a more elegant way to handle that, but the change worked for me)

The script also seems to work in Modern -- no tabs though (the links are bullet points instead), since the styles are different on the newer themes.

Thanks rangefinder 1.4. That's what I was looking for.

I wrote the script tonycpsu posted! I'm not sure if anyone uses it aside from me but I find it helpful in large megathreads.
