Now that I know this exists, I am going to savour it. By myself. But at some point, some when, some how - likely when my wife busts out the Jingle Cats CDs when we are decorating - I will play it.

Oh, the joy it will bring. Because some treats are the best when they are not just unexpected or unknown, but undreamt of.

I made a couple of albums of weird free online Christmas music of all genres from the likes of Metafilter and archive.org, and this song is an important part of them. Unfortunately the albums don't currently have a home, but if anyone's interested they can shoot me a PM.

This has become how I start the Christmas season, in total sincerity and without a nanogram of irony. Sometime the day after Thanksgiving, while biscotti has to be at work, I put on Jingle Rock Bell and get the Christmas stuff out for decorating. It really helps me temporarily exile my inner grinch to the Christmas Gulag. Thanks, PST and quasistoic.

Today I learned that if you look at the information panel for a track in iTunes, you can cause it to NOT BE PLAYED when you are just playing all your music on shuffle.

Since 2004—eleven long years!!! A significant fraction of my life!—I have been suffering sudden onsets of terror and running-to-hit-forward when this song begins to randomly play from my computer. TODAY I AM FREE. Now I will only be subject to sudden onset Jingle Rock Bell when I so desire.

I feel like you don't truly love someone until you love the terrible music they make. We should all make music.

We should all make art. Whoever convinced us that we must shun some artists and musicians has sucked the life from us. This is the same lie that tells us only some people should be clothing models. Discussing how bad someone's music or art is to me is like discussing ones feelings about others appearance. I mean, sure we can all have preferences and tastes yet everyone should have the right to be, and expressing how much displeasure we have from others appearance seems less valuable than just moving on from staring at people, or listening to music you're not into.

Every body type needs a model to showcase it because every body type wears clothes. Every human has feelings, joy, silliness, boredom etc to share. Every human has belly button lint worth exploring. There is no nose hair that be left unwitnessed, no ear wax unphotographed...

I think... I'm losing my momentum...

anyway I love this it makes me filled with exuberant joy. I used to make lot's of terrible music often with random household items and it was awesome and usually unlistenable but awesome.

Awesome.
