Finding COVID-19 data visualization comment March 7, 2020 4:28 AM   Subscribe

I could have sworn I saw a comment about a data visualization of COVID-19 that showed different strains of the virus by location and some other ways. It had a bunch of different charts, including at least one map visualization that you could zoom in, and one bar chart with thin bars and circles at the end of each bar.

I can't find it via Google, searching MeFi or scrolling though threads.

It's possible that I didn't see it here, but I don't think I made this up whole cloth.

If anyone remembers this, I'd appreciate being able to see it again.

It wasn’t the information from the genetic study was it? It doesn’t have a zoomable map, but it does have some of the others.

It does have a map. I bet that Nexstrain visualization of the covid-19 genomic epidemiology is what Gorgik had in mind. Here's the link to the visualization directly (not the blog entry), which uses regularly updated data.

They also use the tool to create an interactive situation report "narrative", here is the current version dated March 4th.

scorbet and Ivan Fyodorovich have it, thanks both! And thanks for the others, too, all.
