Bandcamp Friday is Back! February 4, 2022 1:35 PM   Subscribe

Is it Bandcamp Friday? Yes! Starting today, Bandcamp is bringing back Bandcamp Friday on the first Friday of every month until May 6.

On these Fridays, Bandcamp's revenue share is waived so artists get 100% of the money from music they sell.
Please post some links to Bandcamp artists you love, be it yourself or others you may recommend!

Bunus points this week -- I'm donating 100% of Carbon 7 purchases to Paulding County Democrats. They're out there in the trenches & I want to help.

Ooh. There's a new Zeal and Ardor album on the way.

I heartily recommend this bgm album. "Sorry You Died" is pretty great, IMO.

I bought a new Raum (Liz Harris of Grouper semi-fame and Jefre Cantu-Ledesma) album today, and one by Ekin Fil that I just learned about via Bandcamp's 'Best Ambient of January 2021' post.

Thanks for the reminder! Some good music I've found on Bandcamp in no particular order:

The Skints
Rhiannon Giddens
James McMurtry
Eliza Rickman
The Invincible Czars

I have had pretty good luck just plugging in artists' names and seeing if they use Bandcamp.

yesterday was very very expensive for me. I suspect I dropped more cash on artists than Spotify did for all of its North American users.
