MetaChat Homecoming

That's right, one of your favorite ol' MeFi spinoff sites is still around and about celebratethe tradition of Homecoming Weekend this coming US Thanksgiving Weekend. If you're a Metachatter, drop by to say hi, post a thread, make some comments, and catch up with old pals. Here's something you can use to post and share in your other venues where #bunnies hang out.

Some notes:

As near as I can tell, MetaChat goes back to 2005. I'm aware that taz and dg were involved in the founding, and not sure who else. Others have stewarded the site as admins and tech folk through the years.

We won't be approving new members for the Homecoming Weekend - it's too burdensome administratively and could invite issues. But if you have an old account and no longer know the login, MeMail and I'll try to hook you up.

The "homecoming" weekend just means hey, drop into the site and renew connections with others there - 3 point threads, shouting threads, lyrics threads, recipe threads...whatever floats your boat. The idea is to concentrate activity on a specific weekend we know others will be around.

Whoa, super neat that metachat is still chugging along. (And kind of amazing to flip through some old threads from its first couple years. We were all so good at flippant chatting!)
