Cafepress Hoody with extra bling? With "Pancake Overlords" written in Old English type on the front? In time for the holidays?

Because you can never take inside jokes and borderline humor too far. You know? Like to the point where it's way far from funny? Never happen. No way.

y6y6y6, did you notice how the butter was gleaming? That's what's known as a bling. Butter. Bling. Pretty strange, huh?

I'd settle for "bling bling" on a hoodie in Old English type.

another possibility: mr. bling . . . any takers?

not to be confused with "Mr. #1 Bling Bling", which i saw on one of those illuminated storefront signs just down from the Japan Center in SF the other day. the actual store was closed, so i don't know what products/services Mr. #1 Bling Bling offers.

Luckily for me, there is something wrong with the Mr. Bling site- gold caps seem to be the next most likely candidate for things I'd buy on the internet while sleepwalking.

Daaaaaammnnn!!! Only $12,986.40 US for the accessory medallion.

That's what I'm talkin' about...

The pancake references are kind of... stale. I'd rather not be wearing a stale joke -- let alone a stale food joke. That's just me, though.

Ah, pancakeoverlord is a member I'm sure he would be pleased, your wearing him.

The pancake references are kind of... stale.

Stale, especially since you pancaked yourself, is that self-wearing?

The bling, too flashy, all those diamonds, I meant rhinestones or actually it would be silver glitter is kind of out when it comes to washing this creation. Now if you want to put thom....aww now I'm self imposing........I tease ya eddydamascene.

I knew this, whoops, ok I buying one now, I pancaked myself. Usually I try not use a gender pronoun when talking of Meta members.

Uh, I've only been reading MeFi for a few months now. I did a quick google, but I still can't figure out the significance of pancakes. Is it some sort of Family Guy reference? Shrove tuesday? I want to become as rooty tooty fresh and fruity as the next MeFier...

(and yes, I know that most inside jokes are lame. Please explain anyway.)

I'll jump in, since all the Americans are sleeping off their turkey dinners.

I believe pancakes started here with aaron's response to a linklless post.

I'm sure i'll get flamed unmericifully for saying this, but I think the whole point is that it doesn't make any sense.

You are right, timeis, and shortly after that thread appeared, several more cropped up, one of which contained a link to a picture of user #1 showing off his homemade whole wheat pancakes. I've searched a good part of the a.wholelottanothing.org site and was unable to find that pic, but after that turned up, it was pancakes here, pancakes there, pancakes everywhere for quite a while.

Lynsey, the picture of Matt and the pancakes is not linked from his site.
