With all this talk about finding ways to make Matt money, I've come up with the answer...

$1.00 to make a new post. 10c to post a reply in the thread. And if the message contains the word "Iraq," add a surcharge. Matt will have more money than Bill Gates.

*rofl*

And $25 for making any suggestion that may cost me money.

i personally would pay matt $100 to pose for a photo standing on his head wearing a thong, with a maraschino cherry stuffed up each nostril, said image appearing on the FP for a day. $50 bonus if he's got 'i love gawker' painted over any visible area of his body.

I'll add $20 to the pot (not for the pot), quonsar.

Of course, on crunchland.com it would have to be the other way round - you'd have to pay us - if ever the eternal vicious circle of posts by Calvin, Peanut and Noggin; then Noggin, Peanut, Peanut and Calvin; then back to Calvin, followed by Noggin, Peanut, Peanut and Noggin, with one comment by Calvin or Noggin guaranteed in each thread (except Noggin's and, on weekends, Peanut's, when DSL fills in) is ever to be broken. ;)

come on, quonsar. this is about making money, not the furtherance of your own perversions.

WHOAH. I want my $100 check back, then. It said explicitly, right there in the little Memo area: "For furtherance of quonsar's perversions ONLY."

I am now accepting applications for sponsorship of the furtherance of my perversions.

Just sometimes? You're a braver woman than I thought you were.

Why don't we just declare MetaFilter the Second Superpower and levy a tax on its citizens?

I think I have a crush on the guy. But maybe that's just me.

It'll be a great day when Metafilter has all the money it needs and schools have to have a bake sale to buy a bomber.

No, it's just you.

quonsar, I will add a $20 to the pot as well. USD20, even. I may be prepared to contribute to a fund for you not to pose in the same way, though.

Did any of you consider that once he gets rich he'll have no reason to keep up this silly hobby? Keep him poor and Metafilter will survive.

Ex-CEO of the Metafilter Network, Inc purchases Ferarri a day after its IPO, says "Has no time for web crap anymore."
