Thank you so so much October 7, 2003 6:31 AM   Subscribe

A year and four days after it was posted, I just wanted to offer my praise and thanks to everyone who contributed to this, the most useful thread ever.

Um... what's the punch line?

Um... what's the punch line?
To this post? None. This is the sincerest pumpkin patch ever.

Whenever I think I'll be expected to know a joke, I pull up this post or its elder brother a day before to prepare. That's just how not funny I am.

I thought, why not use metatalk to praise as well as blame?

I can't believe you made me re-read BOTH of those threads.

I also can't believe that the two jokes I told in the later thread were both reprises from the earlier one.

yhbc, I'll offer you this for your trouble:
How many witches does it take to change a light bulb?

One, but she changes it into a toad.

I can't believe I laughed all over again at that What's E.T. short for? joke.

There are some very funny jokes in there--thanks for reminding us, putzface.

So, has it helped your social skills? gotten you dates? made you a hit at parties?
