MetaJokes Podcast 'April Fool's Edition'

Back in January we had a year end call-in show/podcast. MeFites were able to call a line that Cortex set up to record seasonal greetings and well-wishes. A fun way to connect and listen to all of the wonderful people that make up our community. A number of MeFites called in and told some humorous jokes/asides. I previously mentioned how it might be fun to have a specific call-in episode for just jokes that would then be released on April Fools' Day (April 1). I realize it's a bit of behind the scenes work for our moderators, but if they're open to it, I think it would be fun. Let's discuss whether we can make that happen.

Note: Everyone needs a laugh.

"I know more about a person from the jokes they like than any belief they profess," commented lazycomputerkids in the thread on right-wing comedy. So, MeFites - tell us about yourselves! [more inside]

An SEO expert walks into a bar, pub, liquor store, brewery, alcohol

Once I was reading this comment on MetaFilter, and it made me do the stupidest Butthead laugh, and then my housemate started laughing at my laugh, and then I started laughing at the stupidity of my own laugh, and then I read her the comment and we laughed even more. It was great. I'm pretty sure it was a brilliantly lame programming-related pun. I forgot to favourite it. If you know of any brilliantly lame programming-related puns that have been made on the site, could you link them here for me to see? I think this one was from the blue and also maybe from 2015 as well, but I'm not 100% sure. I think it was original too, I haven't seen it in any lists of programming jokes since.

FPP titles that made you smile or laugh

One of the more splendid attributes of the MetaFilter community is the regular ability of MeFites to write titles of posts that are offbeat, witty, hilarious or smart. A few recent ones I've enjoyed include this and this. While Y(humor)MMV, what post titles have you particularly enjoyed?

Feature Request: MetaSnark

Crawl over the grass at a moderate pace, beating your forehead against the ground at one-second intervals. The place where your head rests when you lose consciousness may be the approximate location of your septic tank. Or it may not.

Natural life cycle of...MeFi?

Re: progusks' thread, this "natural life cycle of mailing lists" joke has been circulating the Internet since forever, and has some relevance to MeFi these days. I think MeFi passed #4 long before I got here.

It's a joke frchristssakes.

Y'know...I can handle bad April Fool's jokes from tech companies (or others). Yeah, they aren't great, but megacorporations aren't really known for their great sense of humour. What I hate is that people feel this is there opportunity to bitch, whine and complain about someone else's attempt at humour, how much they hate AFD, how it should have been funnier, or how they would have done it better. It's a joke frchristssakes. Laugh. Or don't. Just don't whine.

Will someone explain the joke in this thread?

I don't get it. At the risk of exposing my terminal lameness, will someone explain the joke in this thread? Seems like a bunch of anagrams & words spelled backwards...
