Bug in the timestamps in MeFi tabs. November 27, 2003 7:52 AM   Subscribe

When I view the front page in a mode other than "date" (ie "most comments", etc), the times in GMT are out by 8 hours.

I was going to suggest that your clock may have been infected with spyware, but you may have a point. A thread which was posted at 3:48 PM EST on Nov 22 is stamped as 12:48 PM EST on Nov 22 when listed under "My Commented Threads".

That's three hours, not eight, but EST is five hours' difference from GMT, and five plus three equals eight, which may lead to a conclusion, the nature of which I am not intelligent enough to determine.

Oh, wait, maybe I am: could the alternate listing modes be printing the timestamps in PST, but labelling them as our home time zone?
