Could preview also search for references to the same link?

I know this will start a paradox of "I saw this before," but I think that it would be neat to have the preview option also do a search of the site to see if the link is referenced elsewhere. Now the question is, was this feature request made before?

samsara, some dumb schmoe suggested this a while ago. I imagine Matt is still working on it.

I've added this now, but it needs tweaking. When you post a link in the URL area, and go to preview, a search is conducted for that string, and a small results blurb is shown. It requires someone to follow a link to see if something is a repost, it doesn't automatically show it. I think I can improve it by displaying the matches if there are just a few, and I'd like to scrape out every href link and search for them all.
