Can we do the same for comments akin to, "You owe me a new monitor" / "I just spat YooHoo all over my keyboard"? It hasn't been funny since '98, if it was funny then.

how about any comment that i don't agree with? can people please stop thinking for themselves and please send me every comment they are going to type so i can pre-approve it?

it would really make metafilter more fun for me.

This thread is just like that Onion article about self-referential jokes that are about self-referential jokes being self-referential, except when they're Cardosonian (and therefore not merely self-referential, but exquisitely refined).

Or did I dream that?

maybe we could each make a list of comments we do like, number them, and then just post the numbers. that way each person can look up the number on their own list and find a comment they like.
