And because this has been driving me crazy, but I don't want to start another Metatalk thread... During the big amazon.com camera fiasco, did people actually get their cameras for the price of the camera bag?

On-topic: We probably would have heard about it if Andy returned from the dead, dontchathink? I'm guessing there was some sort of tribute, maybe some woman-wrestling, and everyone went home with a tear in their eye.

I suddenly feel better. The Great MetaFilter Camera Giveaway (which happened while I was forcibly kept offline) has been declared a myth. However, I DID get a Free TiVo and 3-years free web hosting by following MeFi.

Unfortunately, my pony died in the mail.
