Examples of excellent posts to inspire August 30, 2004 1:16 PM   Subscribe

There have been a number of discussions about threads that are not "the best" or that are "(your cause here)filter". As an alternative to commenting on the worthiness of a post after it has been posted to the blue, does anyone think that it might be a good idea to post somewhere examples of what a really good post might be like, as an inspiration to posters yet to come?

That's an awesome idea! Now, let's all just agree what makes a really good or bad post, and compile some...oh. Damn.

Sigh. Same old song: The hermeneutic...blah...."Best of the Web" dialectal...etc etc...blah blah....television cameras pointed into their own monitors...so on and so forth....collective panopticon...

Sometimes you HAVE TO shit in a post you dislike. I mean, it's getting a lot harder to find public toilets here in L.A.

I'm a fan of Metafilter Remixed, for such things.

Don't forget Metafilter Distilled, although it seems to run in fits and starts (at the whim of participation by MeFi readers).
