connection failure?? November 16, 2004 10:10 PM   Subscribe

from looking at this thread, hoder mentioned a thread that (presumably) I made and that was deleted. I tried to go to the page in question, http://www.metafilter.com/mefi/35470, and got a "connection failure" notice. What's up wit dat, yo?

Heh. A bunch of threads didn't come over in the conversion (due to a JRun server collapse) to the new server and have to be built manually. There's a MeTa bug thread far below that I posted.

WTF is up with a link looks like it should go to 35470 but goes to http://www.metafilter.com/mefi/35464 instead?

Anyway, check out the archive, bob. September 8....

Ditto for thread 27219 by the way, I mailed Matt about this but I think he doesn't read his mail anymore.

A quick grep/find on the archive pages is probably in order.

When I was scraping the archives for taglines a bunch of similar threads came up.

this happens when a thread gets written to the file system, but the db server is unreachable. I'll have to figure out a way to avoid the whole writing to the filesystem part if an error pops up.
