Mailing list about mefite projects: interest?

I was thinking about starting up another metafilter meta projects mailing list, since the one by Jerry Kindall isn't done anymore. Is this totally pointless or is there some interest/need for it?

I have the MeFi Projects site 95% done, I just need to turn a few screws to finish it and launch it.

How about we say a week from now and it'll be up? I think I'll be free sunday night to work on stuff, and this will be my first priority.

tozturk - please, if nothing happens in a week, think about this again. there are always delays here, and i found that mailing list interesting. so i think your idea is good, and am not so sure things will happen here so quickly.

I could put the list back up again pretty easily if there's really any demand for it, but toward the end pickings were getting pretty slim. More than once I nearly shut it down because I didn't get any announcements for two or three weeks.
