Meetup in Winnipeg, April 2005

Calling all Winnipeggers I will be in the 'peg this weekend and would loooove to cause/organize a meetup if there's interest. Anybody?

I know it's short notice sorry! but I'm fairly flexible as to when and where (Friday evening - Sunday morning). I'll be staying in Transcona, but I'll have wheels. I imagine the Manitobians that can make it are a small contingent, but there's a potential for much hilarity and the chance to meet some new wonderful people...

God I love that song. The Weakerthans really hit it right on :)

I'm going to be out of town for most of the weekend, but if a date and time get scheduled, I'll see what I can do!

So, sleslie, WD, when works for you? I'd be happy with the Toad in the Hole. I'm leaning towards Friday evening, but that's changeable if you have some other preferrence.

This is kinda small... and very Winnipeg-esque in its execution. Next time, we should join up with (gasp) fark or whatever to get some bodies.

Anyways, if 7pm at the Toad works for WD, it's a go.

Feel free to invite other people from MonkeyFilter, Fark, offline, whatever. I'm not averse to that, just not a member at any of those sites, so it would seem a little weird for me to show up new and say "I'm from MeFi, come to a meetup". I'm happy w/7 @ the Toad.
