How to get comment to show up immediately after posting April 21, 2005 7:31 AM Subscribe
After I submit a comment, it sends me back to the page with all the comments, but it's the old version of that page, without my new comment. If I force a reload, mine will show up, though it used to show immediately. Is there some new caching or something?
I'm sure that this is related to the fact that when loaded the main blue page, the fonts looked odd. Looking closer, I realized that the message in the upper corner said" You are logged in as smackfu", not octothorpe. I hit reload on firefox and then I was logged in as octothorpe again. I should have thought to take a screenshot.

It happened again, I refreshed Mifi and was logging as smackfu. Switched to metatalk and I was octothorpe again. This is a little creepy.

Ah, the only other reports of this I've heard came from two people that worked at the same company, sharing an office network connection that included a caching server that fetched local copies of pages instead of getting them from the server.
Is that the case for this instance?

You are not logged in, either login or create an account to post comments
"jump to the comment in this thread" goes back only to your first comment, no matter which one you click, and you must scroll down for your subsequent comments.
