My Ask (and other internal tabs) won't click refresh
I had My Ask open for a while, and I went to refresh it by clicking the My Ask text link (like you can do with the Metafilter or AskMeFi text links at the top of the page). In this case, it put a hashtag at the end and did not refresh, and I had to do it by reloading the page with the browser button. [more inside]
When I post a comment, the page reloads. When the page reloads, it jumps to "#comment".
When I post a comment, the page reloads. When the page reloads, it jumps to "#comment". This bugs me, and I don't think it used to happen. What this means in practice is that if I refresh the page to follow a thread, the reloaded page jumps to "#comment". Grrr. Intentional? Good? Bad? Ugly?
Apache error
Help! I see this message instead of the Metafilter homepage?
If you can see this, it means that the installation of the Apache web server software on this system was successful. You may now add content to this directory and replace this page.

"new" link disappears in grey but not blue or green
Why does the "new" link disappear once I've refreshed the page on the grey but not o the blue or green?
deleted askme still visible
This deleted Ask MeFi question still shows up on the front page of Ask MeFi.
Return to same spot upon refreshing thread?
Hard-to-describe, somewhat picayune, possibly impossible pony request: Is there any way to code the pages so that when I hit reload, it remembers my position in the thread? [mi]
Periodic attempts to refresh bring up an error message
Periodic attempts to refresh MeFi/MeTa, etc. bring up an error message, 'The Document Contains No Data'. What gives?
is there any way to force a refresh of the (# new) posts on the main page?
OK, probably dumb question, but is there any way to force a refresh of the (# new) posts on the main page? I know it's time delimited somehow, but beyond that I'm clueless. And is there a place around here I can find that kind of information? Thanks in advance, oh, expert-types.
Oh, and on preview, the links for 'About', 'Etc.' and 'Customize' don't work on the MeTa preview page.

How to get comment to show up immediately after posting
After I submit a comment, it sends me back to the page with all the comments, but it's the old version of that page, without my new comment. If I force a reload, mine will show up, though it used to show immediately. Is there some new caching or something?
number of new comments doesn't change on refresh
Ok, dumb question time. No matter how often I refresh the page, the new comments number for this thread seems to stay at six. Now, for a while the last comment on the thread was mine, so I know I've seen them all, and this isn't the first time I've encountered this. Anyone tell me what's up?
Pony to get only new comments loaded on refresh?
From the I Don't Know If This Is Possible Dept.: Could MeFi be coded so that when hitting the preview button on a new post, the next page only lists any posts made to the thread since the person last loaded the page? I'm just thinking in terms of lightening server load, since on some of those active, >100-post threads, the server's having to reload and resend the entire thread just so the poster can confirm his/her response looks right before hitting "post."
Deleted but still on front page
This thread still appears on the front page (after several refreshes), but clicking on the comments gives you the standard "Nothing to see here" thread deletion page.
Back button does not show my new post
I noticed recently that now when I hit the back key after posting and get to the original thread screen, I don't see my new post there without reloading. In the past, it updated automatically, and "backing up" to it would find it already updated. Struck me as interesting, and I wonder if this was an intentional change or a byproduct of some other change?
Error on logout, refresh
I read MeFi on a shared computer, so I tend to log out right after I post something. But whenever I log out then try to reload the front page, I get an error. The message is inside.
Would it be feasible to let us munge our cookie/user data?
Would it be feasible to let us munge our cookie/user data? Specifically, the last date/time visited? It'd be something of a work-around for when the front page refreshes during topical views, and there's no indication of what threads contain new data.
I tried editing the cookie directly, but all those percentages confused me. :-)
