What particular aspects of the page would you change for that?

Anyone want to write a print CSS sheet for it? Maybe do a display:none on everything but the text content?

I reckon it's an excellent idea.

ooh, yes. do this and then write an greasemonkey script to include it, so I can read metafilter from work without people wondering what i'm looking at.

and someone should write me a bosskey that shows spreadsheets of american porn consumption or something.

not to toot my own horn here, but I think I've created the least controversial metatalk thread of all time. printer-friendly links for ask metafilter pages is something that both liberals and conservatives can get behind.

Um, what's printer-unfriendly about it now? It seems to print just fine. Isn't the chief point of a so-called "printer friendly" view to dispense with the needless pagination and advertising, neither of which apply?

I'm with majick. What's lacking in the friendship department?

Why don't you do that yourself? Isn't that the whole point of Greasemonkey?

That's badass Kirk. Here's what Kirk's print version looks like (screenshot of print preview in firefox)

Weird. In firefox (build from last week), closing matt's link when it's tabbed crashes firefox (also use windows XP).
